The 2nd annual #FREE #CemetaryArtPicnic at the Mountain View Cemetary in #Oakland is a gloomily delightful afternoon of creativity & community. ✨This year, I am booking a costumed art model (Victorian Mourning) to pose amongst the graves, so bring a camping chair or easel and join us! ✨BYO Art supplies and don your best formal Blacks, to join us for an afternoon of #sketching in the #BayArea's loveliest funeral grounds. 🎨 Creative handcrafts of all kinds welcome, photography only with subject's prior consent only. Block-In Basics covers this fundamental academic drawing technique, teaching observation, analytical skills, and shape recognition. We will be gaining experience in this 6 hour class, drawing from a combination of Bargue plate prints, and still life objects, to instill muscle memory and confidence in the technique. If you've ever wanted an atelier education but didn't have the time or means, this introduction will get you going at your own pace, and is applicable no matter your experience or style.
